Summer 2025
Thank You: As this school year comes to a close, and as I prepare for my move to Cornerstone, I've been reflecting on the past four years and all the wonderful memories and experiences I've collected along the way. I write this with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation, hoping to express my sincere thanks to each and every one of you. Your partnership and support have been invaluable. Together, we have worked to ensure that every child receives the best possible education, and your involvement has enriched our school community in countless ways. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this remarkable school. I will always cherish my time at Kean and remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as your principal. Read & Play: Stop the Summer Slide and join us this summer at our Read and Play Nights! Read, play games, and collect your Summer Reading Club prizes at the Cornerstone Play Lab (101 W. Bowman Street)! Mark your calendars for June 12th, June 30th, and July 30th. All events are from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
Summer Reading & Math Fun!: Click here for resources for Summer Reading & Math fun! Students will also be bringing home Summer Math Packets with fun games and activities to stay sharp over the summer! These packets are linked below.

YMCA at Kean: Please see this important notice with information regarding the changes to Kean’s before- and after-school care program. Starting next school year, the YMCA of Wayne County will be replacing Generals Club as Kean’s before- and after-school program. The program will be much the same and will still be housed at Kean Elementary. The YMCA at Kean will have familiar staff from Generals Club, homework help, and all the fun activities our students are used to.
When registering your child for next school year in Final Forms, it still shows Generals Club as an available service. Please ignore this and register directly with the YMCA.
Registration for the YMCA at Kean opens on July 1st. To register, contact Nathan Colwell using the information below.

PTO Updates: Kean PTO is looking for a new Treasurer for the upcoming school year. If you're interested in this position, please reach out to us at woosterkeanpto@gmail.com. Our next PTO meeting is April 1st, 6:00-7:00 PM. We would love for you to join us if you are interested in joining PTO!
